English Inc Liechtenstein, UN Geneva, International Organisations located in Switzerland, Framas, booklets, stamps on cover, watermark and major colour errors, perforation varieties, miniature sheets, design index, English/French/German/Spanish/Italian glossary, Italy, San Marino, Vatican City ; Philatelic Exporter review, courtesy of David Rennie (February 2010): Almost six years to the day since the last edition, this latest is now in the larger "Concise" format, which actually means a slight reduction in the page extent, now at 475pp.; Issues for Italy and Liechtenstein are included up to June 2009; San Marino, Switzerland, UN Geneva office and Vatican City to May 2009. New design indexes are now included for Liechtenstein and San Marino, and those for Italy and Switzerland have been revised and extended for the new format. Italian States, Colonies to independence, Post Offices and other interest areas, such as Fiume, Trieste etc, are covered extensively. With such a long gap between editions, it is not surprising that some 90% of the prices have been revised since the last edition, and there are now almost 5000 illustrations, mostly in colour, but the 19th Century issues are still mainly in black and white. The latest five-language "Glossary" is included, though in fact it is a Dictionary, since no explanations are given.; Rather foolishly the full page tear out questionnaire is printed on the verso of the last page of the Vatican City listings, though a copy can be obtained via e-mail on request.;  |
