Although this is the third edition, (the last was in 2004), it is only the first time I have had a copy for review.; As with the other Commonwealth Sectionals, (are they going to number them?), the QV to 1970 detail has been extracted unaltered from the recent "Red Book," but the later QE issues have been re-priced and extended in this volume.

There are 220 catalogue pages in full colour, in the "Concise" two-column format printed on non-glare paper.

The latest issues are February 2009 for Brunei, May 2009 for Malaysia, and August 2009 for Singapore.

Varieties added in various "red books" are consolidated here, and this includes the notes and listings of the thin striated papers used for some BMA issues overprinted on Straits Settlements issues and, also occasional Malay States values.

The publishersillustrations of varieties, often showing the relevant section of the design enlarged, have improved over the years, but there are still some where illustrations are required.

One area where SG scores over other publishers, are the listing and pricing of fore-runners such as Siam and Federated Malay States stamps with Kedah or Kelantan postmarks, and Malacca, Penang and Singapore numeral cancellations on Indian stamps.

The revised introductory notes are included, and also the multi-lingual Philatelic "Glossary;" (actually a Dictionary since meanings are not explained).
