Paquebot Cancellations of the World and more... (2011) 4th Edition By Mike Dovey & Keith Morris, B/W, 350pp. This new volume of the book will include everything that has gone on before, that is a superb simplified listing of all paquebot marks up to July 2010 where known, but will have added features that have not been included before. These include a new easier to follow format where tables and diagrams are paged in an easier viewed listing. We have amalgamated the old Hosking numbers from the 1977 and 1987 books plus the 2000 edition in the tables. The tables now also show Studd numbers and the Joesten numbers as per their respective books. Duplicate diagrams have been eliminated and a much easier "Omnibus" system has been introduced (much the same as the GB and French 22, 36, 410 & 419 numbers) to solve problem countries like Norway and Denmark where diagrams were repeated and new numbers awarded. The "Written paquebot" section (chapter 19) has been expanded to give a much clear view of ports available while the numbers 4001 - 4045 have been expanded into new chapters numbered 20 - 28 to be used as a reference to expand the reader's knowledge further on a variety of subjects never covered before. |
