The Early Postcards of the British East Africa Protectorate

The Early Postcards of the British East Africa Protectorate/Kenya, by P C Evans.

Published by East Africa Study Circle, 2008.  S/B, 204pp.

The third volume in a series of books on the early pictorial postcards of East Africa.  Ranging from just before the turn of the 20th century to the 1930s, the cards are listed by publisher, and earliest and latest recorded dates are shown.  Examples of cards (front and reverse) are reproduced in black and white.  Appendices on the cards issued by The East African Railways and Harbours and from the Peter Hill series do cover some later printings from the 1950s onwards.

This product was added to our catalog on Saturday 05 January, 2008.
