An outline of the British helicopter mail service, which was begun in 1948 to carry public mails.  There are chapters on the East Anglia Service, the London-Birmingham Services, the London-Southampton Service, the South Bank Rotor Station, the Birmingham-Leicester-Nottingham Service, the Penzance-Scilly Isles Service, and the Jersey-Guernsey Service.  Special flights, including the first scheduled passenger helicopter service, the 'Flying Saucer' leaflets, and the Golden Jubilee of the first UK aerial post, are also recorded.  All known covers and cachets are described.  Illustrated in black and white.
